Raspberry Ketone Vs. HCG

by Raspberry Ketone on April 30, 2012

Two of the most popular diet supplements on the market right now are raspberry ketone and HCG. Both supplements promise weight loss and a slew of other benefits, but are very different in nature. So which weight loss product is better, raspberry ketone or HCG diet drops?

To determine which product is better, we evaluated both products on price, safety, side effects, and effectiveness. Here is what we found:

Price: Price is a somewhat unimportant factor as you are paying for results. Therefore, a cheaper product that is ineffective is not necessarily better. A three- month supply of high-quality raspberry ketone supplements costs about $100 whereas a three-month supply of HCG diet drops will cost about $120. So raspberry ketone is slightly cheaper than HCG.

Side Effects: As mentioned on Dr. Oz, raspberry ketone does not cause any side effects. With the exception of allergic reactions in the event a user has a very rare allergy to red raspberries, there are no causes for concern. The HCG hormone is believed to what causes morning sickness in woman and studies have shown that HCG supplementation can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and shortness of breath.

Safety: The HCG diet drops have been in the news a lot lately due to concerns over the safety of the products. Under the HCG diet, a user is limited to about 500 calories per day. This increases the risk for malnutrition and can cause severe health problems in the body.

Raspberry ketone supplements strictly state that a healthy diet and exercise regime is to be used for best results. Therefore, there is no cause for concern here that raspberry ketone is unsafe. Unfortunately, the same case cannot be made for HCG

Effectiveness: Independent researchers have news outlets have discovered that HCG diet drops do not actually contain any HCG, which is the substance that supposedly causes weight loss. This has caused most nutritionists, weight loss experts, and doctors to dismiss HCG diet drops as “worthless” or “useless for weight loss.”

Raspberry ketones on the other hand has been getting positive reactions from weight loss experts, doctors, and users. Since the arrival about two months ago, the overwhelming majority of users are losing weight. Most users are reporting about a weight loss of about 1-1.5% of their starting weight per week. In other words, a woman who weighs 160 pounds loses on average 1.6-2.4 pounds per week, although some people have reported higher rates of weight loss.

So what’s the verdict? Which product will actually help you lose weight? The answer is raspberry ketone!

While some people swear by the HCG diet, it is just simply too risky and inconsistent to make it a viable option. Plus, HCG diet drops do not even contain HCG, which makes them worthless junk. Raspberry ketone on the other hand has evidence from clinical studies and testimonials from real users to support its’ weight loss claims. Therefore, raspberry ketone is the clear winner and is the product that will best help you lose weight!
